As he steps on to the court the fans scream, and behind him his invincible team. His silky gold jersey and shorts, taking air as he charges all over the court. They root and he shoots, nothing but net. The opposite team takes that as a threat. He looks to crowd and winks an eye and waves the opposite team good-bye. He’s Earth-shattering, captain, record-breaking, MVP, Champion. We call him the invincible king cause he’s got four rings.
But we also call him Kobe.

Homerun Ball
When I was ten years old I dreamed of hitting a homerun, and I wanted it to be a walk off grand slam as a matter of fact! A walk off grand slam is when you are the home team and it is the 9 inning or extra innings and you hit a homerun to win the game. I knew I could hit one too, we had a baseball tournament the next day and I was really excited. I was pitching for the first game and i started off shaky, but after about the third inning I got so mad that it seemed like a fire was lit in me. I was up to bat still mad and hit a triple, I was hitting great. Once i got back to the pitcher’s mound I was striking people out left and right it was amazing!! The next inning i got up to bat I hit a double and scored two runs for our team, and we were tied 9 to 9 and going into extra innings.
The next inning they took me off the mound and I was mad because as the game went on I kept throwing better and better, but you can’t argue with the coaches so I didn’t. The next time I got up to bat we were in extra innings, it was the bottom of the 11 inning and the bases were loaded. The bad thing about this was there was 2 outs and all I had to do is score the run on third and we won the game, but it ain’t as easy as it’s said, I stepped up to the plate and the first pitch came it was a ball, then he threw another ball, then a strike. He threw the next pitch and I hit it, I was not looking at the ball I was just running towards first and the next thing I know everybody was screaming , I turned and looked up, the ball was over the fence!! What I Llike About The Hunger Games
- I like the art when Peeta did the camouflage in the training center.
- I like how at first it looked like is was during the old day's and at the middle it looked like the futer.
- I like how there was a lot of action in the movie.
- I like when Katniss got mad she hit the apple, that was cool.
- I like the dogs at the end they looked scary.
- I liked Katniss's plan all it was is just don't get killed and run.
- I liked the capital it was huge and nice.

What is a Player?
A player is one who doesn't give up at the sight of defeat,
But learns from their mistakes and puts them beneath.
A player is one who doesn't give up at the sound of the buzzer,
Always giving what they have from one side of the court to the other.
A player is one who doesn't whine about their playing time,
Because a player knows it's an unacceptable crime.
A player is one who practices game-speed,
Always keeping in mind that their shots are not guaranteed.
A player is one who doesn't settle for anything less,
Even knowing, that they're not the best.
They will be the ones you see outside practicing,
Day or Night, Rain or shine,
They are the ones running on hurt ankles, admitting there fine.
A player is one who has a strong, sensible mind,
Never pondering about failing, only contemplating prevailing.
A player is one who doesn't chicken out,
Who wants to be in the game when everything counts.
Now, that is a true player.

What I Think About School

Some people think school is boring, dumb, stupid, etc. but some students say school is fun, cool, etc. I think school can go both ways, it can be boring at one minute and fun at the next, but it is also fun if you can talk to your classmates and do the work at the same time. I hate when I work by myself because then if I don’t know the answer nobody can help me, I think we should work more with partners and in groups, and I think that’s why students fall asleep in class. I think we need more communication with others and don’t have to go to school at 6 in the morning. Kids brains don’t work properly early in the morning, that’s the reason students fall asleep a lot. I think students should have more technology with there work, and make school shorter. They should make it were one day you can ware whatever you want and other days you can ware uniforms.
I think we should more time to talk to friends and walk because we don’t have a lot of time for that. We should have better launches then the same thing every other day because it is getting old. Then students coming to school more, have fun, and not be sleepy.

The Man On The Bench
The man on the bench is just like me
He's not the star, but he's the key
Without his aid and help each day,
I doubt if there would be a play.
Every run by a team on "big game" day
He holds the dummy and shows the way when
The other team runs that certain play.
When not being clocked, he's chasing punts.
Or shagging fly balls, and fielding bunts,
Or a hundred and one other useful stunts.
He's always the "skins" against the “shirts",
And the night of the game he sits and hurts,
He's not on the sports page every time
When a "dollar" is waiting, he's the "dime"
He comes to the banquet with a little prayer,
Hoping this year the "letter" is there.
As he squirms wishfully in his chair.
And he suffers a little along with his
coach,
As the names are read and no approach
Is made to him there is a wrench
In his heart. But his teeth will clench,
As he says, "next year", this man on the bench.
What happens to all the men like these.
Who seem, all elbows, thumbs, and knees.
Don't feel sorry for their frustrations,
They are the men who head corporations,
And sit on the councils of great nations.
They learn the value of raw sheer grit,
The determination that won't say quit.
The value of facing rugged strife
To face the gun with just a knife,
They learn how to make a fight in life.
To the man on the bench I give my hand
With the greatest respect, 'cause he's my man,
Please don't worry, he'll go far
Be it jet propulison or motor car,
Somewhere in life, he will be a star.

Failure leads to success
It was the 4Th quarter of the championship game, we were winning by only a couple against the concord spiders. As time went by concord kept scoring, it was tied with 10 seconds left, there star player hit a three with 5 seconds left to put concord up by one. It was heartbreaking even though we still had one more chance to score.....But we didn’t work, concord won 51-50 we were very sad but then after a little while we got over it.
8Th grade year...coach came back for another year, and most of the team from last year. Are first game went good against Winkler the new school, we smashed them ! second game we lost at home against North West who we beat three times last year, I think we thought we were going to beat them because of last year but they were way better. We bounced back after that, winning 10 games in a row, Then the playoffs, we were first seed in the tournament so we played the last seed. We smashed them, and next came concord! we knew we had it this time and actually beat them by 10 it was a good game though. Then the championship game vs Winkler they beat every body else but us and now we are facing them in the championship game ! It was a good game, we started to pull away a little and they kept coming back, until the 4Th quarter they were tired and worn out and we were getting most of our points off fast breaks then time went by we knew we had it and we won. It felt so good winning a championship after loosing last year.

Childhood
The childhood memory im going to talk about is when me, the family, and Jaylon went to the Keys, Islands on the southern tip of Flordia, for my birthday. We left late at night, it was going to be a long dredful ride taking us 12 hours to get there. We arrived around noon, stopped at a hotel, got unpacked, and then went right to the swimming pool, after we got done swimming we went to my uncl's house for the rest of the day. We played football, the playstation 3 after a while we all ate dinner togather. The next day we woke up pretty early and went with my uncle to go see crocs but didn't go near them, we saw much more too. That's all we did that day.
The next day we went to Miami to visit some old friends, we stayed with them for about a week.
Next we went to south beach, it was beautiful! huge buildings, hotels, stores all around us, we saw cruze ships the size of buildings we saw the ocean when we drove over a huge bridge, I was scared for a little while. We went swimming in the ocean the cool waves crashing on my back in the hot summer sun. After we swam, we went right to the Keys, finally!
It was a long strip and had driffrent parts of the Keys, but the main one was East Keys it had about everything you could think of. Restrunts, pools, the ocean, bars, stores, fishing, and more. The ocean at the keys was clear as day you could see right threw it. You could see the fish and the seaweed, I saw some crazy looking fish that I havn't seen before, the best thing that there was is you didnt need your car all you needed was your you. When we went back home I dreamed about going back the next day, my grandma said we will go there again.
But for nearly a year, we didnt go back, I missed the waves crashing, the pool, like whats a gun, without a bullet. Flordia is my favorite place to be, like NC but with palm trees and the world belongs to me. That is my childhood memory.

Hunger Games Reserch Project
I am writing about hovercrafts and the truth behind the fiction. What do you think about it?
HOVERCRAFT FACTS
Hovercrafts are not just used for you it is also used to rescue or it is used in the army which I think is pretty cool.(Hovercraft) You can do almost anything in a hovercraft like fish,drive,race or you can show it off to people. You can get diffrent veriety's of hovercrafts, you can get one that is big or you can get one that is small, you can get one that is for crusing or you can get one that you want to race.
Hovercrafts are maid for land and water but someone has maid a hovercraft that can fly, he maid it out of car parts and clothing. It fly's a couple feet in the air and they say it is good for old people that farm so they don't need to open and close the gate and walk around.(Rudy)

Hovercrafts have alot of parts it is like a car it has a engine a skirt a big fan on the back of it but the most imortant thing to have is the skirt or atleast that is what they say All modern hovercraft use a skirt of one sort or another for their suspension system so that the power required to lift the craft can be minimised.(Hovercraft Facts) So maybe in the future where the hunger games take place they will have flying hovercrafts.

Chapters 21-22
Katniss must really love Peeta because he takes care of him like is a kid. Do you think that this romance is going to last? In chapter 21 Katniss is taking care of Peeta and she is trying to go get medicine for him but there is one thing that is bad Peeta doesnt want her to go. She goes even though Peeta doesnt want her to she gets cut on the top of her eye by Clove and right when Clove tried to kill her Thresh came in and killed Clove but didnt kill Katniss. I wounder why he didnt kill Katniss but killed Clove? wierd right!!!!

Hunger Games Chapters 19-20
Well, i think that Peeta is going to be very mad about Katniss giving him the medicine that makes him go to sleep. I am woundering how will Katniss go to the cornucopia without gitting killed and still get the bag for district 12? what do u think she is going to do? I think she is going to be up in a tree and try to shoot the tributes who are trying to get there bags but it is going to take alot of work because some tributes had maid alliances and might have a trap or something but that is what i think. Still waiting to figure out!!!

Wow!!! i would have never thought that Rue was going to get killed this is a good book. Now they are adding a new rule to the mix, Now if the two people from your district are the last one's alive you will both win!!! Hunger Games
Katniss is in a bad situation because she is in a tree high off the ground but she cant get down because the careers are waiting for her to come down but then she finds Rue in the tree next to her but Katniss dont know how long she's been there. The next morning when Katniss woke up it was morning and the careers where sleeping accept there was one up her name was Glimmer she must have been the lookout so katniss came up with a plain and there was a wasp nest the next branch above her so she came up with a plain to throw a knife at the nest and it could fall so the wasp could get mad and sting the careers but this wasnt the regular wasp these where wasp that when they stung you venom goes right threw you. so she threw the knife it fell and then the careers got up and rain so the wasp chase them all the way to the lake and it was time for Katniss to run so she went down the tree and ran the opposite way. Know i wat to see what is going to happen next!!!

Strategy Quick Write
I think the best strategy to stay alive is to find shelter, food, drinks, and to make an alliance so you will have some people to help you kill everybody. Then whenever i see somebody and they don't know i am near i would kill them and when everybody has died except for your people that you had an alliance with then i would try to kill them that would be my strategy if i was in the hunger games.

I think it is even because some poor people put there self in the position where they cant get a job so they cant get money because they dropped out of school or they mad a bad choose. but some poor peole had parents that where poor and they couldnt get what they wanted to get there kid, and they didnt want there son to go down the same path they did.
